A lacquer painting by noted Vietnamese artist, the late Nguyen Gia Tri,
was the second-most expensive work to be sold at the Larasati Auction
in Singapore last weekend.

Foundation will jointly organise an exhibition of about 42 lacquer
paintings by 14 Vietnamese artists in Seoul next month.
American expat artist Heather McClellan will present her
Vietnamese-inspired lacquer artworks at the Flex exhibition, which will
open in Ha Noi from Friday, April 17.

art works by acclaimed Vietnamese artists including leading lacquer
painter Nguyen Gia Tri at an exhibition that opened yesterday at the
Viet Nam Fine Arts Museum.
The tradespeople behind many of the traditional goods sold in the Old
Quarter will give demonstrations of their handicrafts from tomorrow to
the end of August.
Fifty-one lacquer paintings d by three generations of students
and lecturers of the Ha Noi Fine Arts College are on display at the Viet
Nam Fine Arts Museum on Nguyen Thai Hoc until next Tuesday.
